How Friendly Do Your Parents Smell?

I feel like my parents, everything sounds like pressure. Maybe that's just their nagging, like, endearing in a nagging, endearing way. I did notice that when we talk about more serious topics, like marriage or home buying,. My parents tend to get really careful, almost like they're tiptoeing around the topic. They also just want to be looped in on like my life updates as early as possible and things like that. And so I feel like perhaps getting pepper, which is my dog, kind of filled that grand kid void for my parents because now they have like something to take care of.
