The Importance of a Screen Reader Error Message
The error message is important because it is. We want to make sure that the screen reader users knows, hey, this is an important error. So we decide to put either a role of alert or an area live assertive on the error message. But what you've just done is after you're using alert or area liveassertive, you're going to get the screen reader to interrupt what it's announcing for the user with every time you're pushing that error out. And this is where it can really the amount of added cognitive load when that happens is unbelievable.
