This past Saturday, we had a close encounter between the PLAN and the US Navy during a joint Canada-US mission. The USS Chunghoon was effectively cut off by a Chinese warship that had been shadowing the exercise up until that point. What is your impression of what happened here? How serious was this? And what could have been going through the minds of the crew of that Chinese warship to take such brazen action?
