When you're injured, the biggest mistake people make is they just stop. You've got to stay disciplined at this point because there's a whole bunch of bad things that are going to happen if you just stop training all together. The first step I would also say other than stay active with it was getting your upper body going or if your elbow is really bad, stay working your lower body.
