The Gate of Tears
In 20 15, you wrote a book titled the gate of tears. It's about what judaism and buddhism can uniquely offer to people in periods of loss or suffering. Over the past few months, i've lost both my dad and a baby. I think that if someone hasn't suffered, it's a lot harder to kind of really get some one else suffering. My verse from the bible is "Do not oppress a foreigner" So that shared experience of slavery is meant to rouse ethical action toward those we might easily marginalize.
