Otto Warmbier was taken for a full body search by North Korean security officers. He and his tour group waited in the airport until they had 15 minutes left before their flight took off. But instead of Otto coming down the airplane alleyway, a North Korean official walked in on full uniform. The man told them that Otto is very sick and has been taken to the hospital. Without even waiting for a response, he turns on his heel and leaves the plane.
