We have this expectation that doctors have learned to doctor in doctor school. And yet, if i asked you, would you want a six year old doctor to be entirely dependent on the things that they had learned when they were in doctor school? We have this totally unreasonable relationship to what we still imagine that somehow that doctor is walking around with a cane and going from door to door.
