In cities across China, demonstrators have gathered to protest against strict coronavirus pandemic rules. Since the pandemic began in Wuhan in late 2019, China has followed a zero COVID strategy. Lockdowns have been some of the most strict and severe in the entire world. Large scale protests are incredibly rare in China. The government strictly controls the actions of Chinese people.
