English is basically the default language in the world, even in Asia. You're very fortunate if you're born as a native English speaker because you can go travel virtually anywhere and enjoy the privilege of speaking English. But nowadays we're not arguing over English itself so much as who's English or which English. And that's something that interests me very much.
