Carson parks had two big hits in the next few years. The first and biggest was a song he originally wroted for a side project. They also recorded several albums together, which gave vandyke the opportunity to practise his arrangement skills. Some time before their last album, in 19 65, van dyke left the greenwood county singers and was replaced by rick jabard.
