David baltimore is one of the most accomplished biomedical scientists of the past 50 years. He recently won the lasker coachland award for special achievement. David made his name early in his career at m i t with the discovery of enzimes called reverse transcriptaes. His work led him down a whole set of interesting paths in menology and biology.
