The Inertia of Tofutoora
Tofutoora talk about bed blocking in the public hospital system. But on the other hand, they're doing nothing to make and sure there's a greater supply of beds out there in the community. What I can't understand is this total inertia in terms of policy making or planning for demand. To have those New Zealanders in a bed in a hospital is so expensive. And while funding needs to increase out in for aged care with providers, it's still going to be a lot cheaper to have people in their own communities... It would be common sense as well.
