The Importance of Replication in Evolution

Ellis theory basically starts with preparing epistemology and tries to take that into an algorithm. Is that fair or am I kind of reading too much in? Yeah, I'm obviously hugely inspired by Popper. But yeah, I do think Popper'sEpistemology misses the notion of a replicator. And I don't really know why Popper didn't write about this.
