Race is an element here. I can't imagine any police officers delivering that kind of brutal beating to a white male U.S. citizen. Can you imagine if you had five black officers doing that? It's very hard to imagine. We'll continue to unpack what's going on and also that timeline because it took more than 20 minutes before a stretcher got to the scene for Tyree Nichols as he was laying on the ground, battered and bruised and dying.
