In the original it recounts the rather miserable death of a soldier as contrasted with battlefield heroics and is titled sick transit glory a Mundi. In this version it doesn't have a title and it goes like this. I remember it chiefly one morning before breakfast watching a solitary man approach the hospital lines. He was now staggering along, ragged down, carkey colored spectra of his rifle dragged towards him. His helmet poised at the back of his shoulders he was literally literally black with flies buzzing around his fevered head. Still not specifically supernatural right?
