The Story of the Bank of Clearwater Building in Florida

The Southern Land Development Corporation bought the Bank of Clearwater Building for $550,000 in cash. A strange old man in a green jumpsuit showed up in town and publicly announced that the buildings would be leasing to a group called the United Churches of Florida. Now this perplexed local journalists because they could find no records anywhere of the United churches ever existing. Both organizations were fronts for the Church of Scientology.
