Democracy and Reliivism

Democracy always has a get out of jail free card with regard to responsibility for itself. I think the move away from relitivism is more of a retreat, as in saint augustine talking about a retreat to god ar and most people aren't going to find stuff to go in forward. Do you think the movement away from relativism will result in an objective system of meaning that isn't useful? Means, thas, that's really, it's a really good idea.
