i feel a little, i feel very, very sorry for her victims, obviously. But at the same time, i think that if children are not treated right when they're very young, that this the kind of thing that can happen. And i, i try to hold everyone in compassion. That's probably my, my background, is just trying to be compassionate about everything. Every time i read another article, there's some little detail that i didn't see before, or there's something that contradicts one of the other articles. So it's all so very intriguing.

Jane Toppan was born in Massachusetts in 1857. She attended the Cambridge Nursing School, and established a successful private nursing career in Boston. Said to be cheerful, funny and excellent with her patients, nothing about "Jolly Jane" suggested she could be "the most notorious woman poisoner of modern times” responsible for the death of at least 35 people. She would later be committed to the Taunton Insane Asylum.
