How Do We Get More People to Do More Research?

Gestalt philosophy is where my head is. It's what i'm interested in. But then you link that to self regulation of the body. And it's like, that's quite the same, just described slightly differently. The vast majority of people who do systems design don't look at it any deeper than they don't question why. So how do we get more research into gestalt concepts? I think its not as easy as just hay and go dollars or fine stuff.
