The Growth Imperative of Capitalism
Capitalism is really good at producing useful stuff. The problem is it doesn't care about producing useful stuff, It wants to produce profits. Now if you can imagine a non capitalist economy, whether it a small scale or a larger scale, it might be possible that wind and soler could deliver precisely the kind of sustain ability we want. And even maybe the sustainable a modern life with some of the luxuries and conveniences that we care about could be offered too. But it would have to be taken out of this relentless growth engine, if that makes sense.
