I was extremely self-hating. I genuinely believed that I was destined for perpetual life of misery and loneliness. And then I realized I can't change other people's perception of me, but I can change my perception of myself. We can't end the atrocities in the world, but we can shift how we allow those atrocities to impact us or shape ourselves. Because transformation is everywhere you seek it.
