Transylvania Was a Punitive Action of the Sultan
When Transylvania was controlled by Ottomans or the the Ottoman Sultan's kind to Unitarianism. Maybe they viewed it as somewhat more similar to Islam than other forms of Christianity. What my historical knowledge tells me that the Sultan didn't really care which Christian denomination had the upper hand in Transylvonia. The Sultan took over Transylv Romania as a punishment because the previous ruler made an alliance with the Catholics and participated in a war on behalf of the Habsburg Empire.
