viola davis is, as you would imagine, absolutely forin phenomenal. She has this incredible earnestness at the heart of this film. John sene somehow plays a stupid psychopath brilliantly. Rat catch tooit gives the film loads of heart. There were bits that i found really difficult to watch. But o what? It isn't miserable. You're not kind of weighed down by darkness in a third actthat you can't really see through all ofa g madness that doesn't really exist. For me it was too chaotic.
