The Implications of Data on Social Science
I think you're right that this is a huge problem, but I'm less optimistic about the possibility that data will will shift anyone's mind. We don't suffer from a kind of a lack of social science data on a lot of issues that just don't shift anything. The left would have to acknowledge that women can't have it all and there are responsibilities and ties that have to exist. And the right would have to admit that, you know, there will be an economic impact for this kind of stuff. Sacrifices have to be made,. GDP can't be the driver of all decisions, and they'd have to dedicate a certain segment of our society to actually producing the type
