Cassie: I admire your answer as far as just wanting to let people know like they matter. It's that respect thing we were talking about earlier. If you can talk to somebody and make them feel like you are actually listening, that is so valuable. Asking the hard questions is something that people don't do or they don't realize it. So if you can develop your insatiable curiosity, I think that's so, so important.

Cassie McDaniel inspires us to get away from the ‘pick me’ mindset, and to pick ourselves. She challenges us to be willing to kill our darlings so that something better can emerge. She teaches us the importance of knowing our values, but also embracing the fact that they are going to change. She also encourages us to not just do what we’re good at, but do what we enjoy.
