I like to be in a spot. If I'm here, I just move to the left slightly so that this person isn't behind someone's head. This is probably subconscious for the students, but it means that they always know I am there. At a rough estimate, I think I've done at least 20,000 hours of in-class teaching. Yes, I am bragging about that. But I do feel quite proud to have done a lot of something, to have stuck at it for a long time. Either that, or I just enjoy being an English teacher, I don't know.
This is the longest episode of LEP so far, and it's a solo ramble. I talk freely about a lovely day I had in Paris earlier this year, which really stuck in my memory. Relax, follow my words, hang out with me for 3 hours, get stranded on a desert island of the imagination, and then get rescued. Includes a haircut, a sleep and a t-shirt change during the episode.
