In 1970, Chile had a democratically elected Marxist president in Sar-Rallarayan de. The vast majority of the Chilean population was disenfranchised politically and economically. They have this almost like feudalistic mindset when it comes to land ownership. So you have gentry that's notorious for its aristocratic tendencies. And still, as we're going to find out throughout this episode, it wasn't enough to the strongest country in the world who loves to opine about democracy.
