Billy says he rarely uses cash machines because they can charge anything up to three pounds in order to withdraw even small amounts of cash. The method by which the bank treats people on a fixed low income is inherently unfair and unhelpful when banks don't pay bills of due for the one of a few coppers. A UK finance spokesperson said while many customers are opting to use mobile and online banking to manage their money, the decision to close a bank branch is never taken lightly.
