The Differentiation of Students in Schools

In Japan and Shanghai, the first selective exams are at about 15 or 16 to get into high school. They actually selected 12 years old in Japan and Shanghai. Finland don't have any selection until age 15 or 16 as well. And that was another thing I noticed is that there is a lot of whole class instruction. So it's stretching the brightest and giving support to those who are struggling rather than giving them easy work.
