The Importance of Free Will in the Public Square

Molinism is named after the 16th century Jesuit theologian, Louis de Molina. He was a Catholic counter reformer and he understood the central teaching of Calvin and Luther to involve the denial of human libertarian freedom. His burden was to articulate a view of divine sovereignty that would allow us to affirm both biblical doctrines in a coherent way.
