Anton: If you put too many sutures in these fingertips that are already traumatized, you're adding a second trauma to it. I'd roger the bone to be countersunk lower than the soft tissue envelope and then put a good sterile dressing on it. One of the reasons not to do aggressive stuff during the acute management is because you don't know what's viable or not. A little bit of patience allows the soft tissue envelopes to declare itself as being viable.
