I make sure that I am well rested when I make the decision. When we are well fed, our serotonin levels, our dopamine levels, etc. all get elevated in our body. Your body interprets stress both physical and emotional the same way. It's a cortisol response. And so you in a very real way, when you eat more, are more stress tolerant. So this is how I have learned to help mitigate or decrease the emotional impact or the impact that my emotions have on my decision making process.
