The Importance of Race in VRA Claims
Sally Kohn: Chief Justice Roberts' philosophy is sort of like lie better next time. She says Alabama tried to devise an alternative test for VRA claims where they wouldn't take race into account at all because it's unconstitutional to consider race. "Alabama's lawyer did not have a good response to those questions, right? He really floundered during oral arguments," she said.
