When we are making a decision, there's two really similar options that are near equal. We spend a lot of time and money trying to make a perfect decision. These are the hardest decisions people ever wrestle with. The paradox is, if the advantages and disadvantages of the two options are almost perfectly balanced, it doesn't matter which one we pick.

My guest today is celebrated research psychologist Gary Klein who has spent nearly 50 years studying how and why people make the decisions they do.
