Ophelia and the Ghost
Pachifroid believes Hamlet cannot quite come to terms with his unconscious desire for his mother. Ophelia is the one who's clinging to the wreckage of a wrecked love affair, says Pachifroid. The ghost suggests that she has been stimulated by lust at Claudius and Gertrude - but he does speak. "This is a play that from the opening has driven towards male death and the male grave" But when we get to the grave,. the person who's going to be put in that grave is the body and the body of a woman. And that body is problematized through."
