Jason Isville grew up in Alabama and was exposed to a wide range of music from an early age. His grandfather, a Pentecostal preacher, played instruments like the banjo and guitar. He would reward him by playing blues music with his pocket knife. Jason: "I think when you're working on that kind of a deadline ... sometimes it turns off the critic in your brain"
