Para-san: The original wood underneath was beautiful. He chipped off paint from a small area on top of the commode. Ramin said, how can you be so sure it's fake? You haven't seen it underneath all that paint. Has anyone got a knife? Asked Bogus with apparent casualness. So again, he's pretending to be all casual like he doesn't care. But it was beautiful. A warm little patch of mahogany. Rich and dark with the true color of its 200 years. What in heaven's name would it fetch now? I wouldn't be surprised if it went for about £5 million or something now.
