If you have an exciting technology that could be commercializable, or some other discovery, there are a couple of types of grants you can apply for. With academia, em and commercial projects, they both have sort of short time scales. But with commercial pro projects, there's like, you want to produce something that is like kind of sell or something within a couple of years.
