The Rise and Fall of Esther Haas

In 1994 Joe Esther Haas received two point five million dollars for a four page treatment called One Night Stand which would eventually become a film directed by Mike Figgis. In 1994 Esther Haas sold a script called For Play which became national news due to an unusually lucrative deal he was able to command. This was largely thanks to two Esther Haas projects which opened in the fall of 1995 showgirls Hollywood's first and last NC-17 rated film to get a wide theatrical release hit theaters on September 22nd 1995 reviews were mocking and brutal and the film wasn't even made soon thereafter.
