The Death of Abbott Brand of Peterborough
Abbott brand of Peterborough was a relative of Harroward. He had been granted the abbacy by Edgar the Athling during William's time as king. But he died at a point when his power was on the rise and enemies were turning on each other. To replace him, William appointed a monk from Fakamp as the new abbot of Peterborough. His name was Turold - famous for being a tyrant.
