VCs Not Being as Patient
The Sustainable Protein Innovation Institute will be a dedicated alternative protein research center that will have affiliate centers at universities around the world. The problem we're trying to solve here is, as I mentioned, it is individual companies right now that are all dealing with the same technical issues. It's inefficient to have them try to solve them with their own scientists and they just can't share information. And this kind of infrastructure work needs kind of policy funding and government funding.
