The Role of the Media in Putting Crime in Perspective
There's something like remarades that spikes, who gets media coverage, crime coverage increases. People get more afraid of crime. They click on crime stories. More crime stories are provided and it kind of escalates like that. I think the media has a really important role to play in putting this in perspective. We need to be explaining that clearly. Look at the data,. to look at the evidence, to not be driven by the latest crime, the latest scare.
