We start to map out a tree of leading and lagging indicators. And then we look at this board that's filled with post-it notes. Now, strategically, what do we care about for the next six months? And then we try to carve out a slice of that. It ends up becoming sort of a top to bottom customer journey map. Kind of work your way towards the bottom. I love the customer journey thought about it too.
