Is Your Birthright a Defect?

Jacob literally means he grasps at the heel. That's a Hebrew idiom, a Hebrew phrase that means he deceives. They named him he deceives because he was born with that defect in him. And so they go throughout their life and there's, you know, we see them interact. A few verses later in verse 29, Bible says, once when Jacob was cooking some stew, I'm sure, Esau came in from the open country, famished.
