The Meaning Making Process of Being a Veteran
Being a veteran does not make you a right-wing person. That's just an experience. There's a layer of meaning making where you process what it means to be a veteran in a way that leads you to look for the right, which happens often. Having a really awful experience with the healthcare system unfortunately does not radicalize people to advocate for universal healthcare. A very significant number of people who have been grossly misjured by the healthcare system have unfortunately not engaged in the particular meaning making process that would lead them to the conclusion.
