The Making of Empire Strikes Back
George Lucas hired Jim Starranco to create the visuals for Empire Strikes Back. The film was originally going to be directed by Steven Spielberg, who had a tough time getting it off the ground because of his reputation as a director that went way over budget and over schedule. Michael Eisner worked in television so he knew how to work under those constraints.
