The Legend of Lafe and the Vikings
There was no proof that Lafe and the Vikings had actually reached the shores of America. In 1960, a pair of Norwegians led by a local fisherman found mounds near the village of Lanso Meadows in Newfoundland. Today, there are memorials and statues honoring Leferics all over the place - especially in the upper Midwest.
