The Effects of Permitless Carry on Mass Shootings
The bill would allow Floridians who are legally eligible to own and carry a firearm to carry a firearm in the state without first applying for a permit. If it passes, those who still want a permit can get one. The same people who were prohibited from doing so beforehand would be just as prohibited afterwards. It would not abolish or change the federal background check system in Florida.
