American Foreign Policy After 1945

American foreign policy is formed in the memory of the two world wars prior to World War one US had a very small federal government was really not that much in the foreign policy business. The driving impulse of American foreign policy is no World War three we need to have something better and this is precisely what the United States does for western Europe after 1945. By 1950, instead of perceiving these different European countries as adversaries they have become partners and friends especially France and Germany who're both members of NATO.
