The Importance of Silence in Conversation
In Zoom, there are reactions. You've got to be able to handle all these technological things. So anything artificial like that could be a good feature, but it's tricky to use them well. Have you ever had any difficult moments during conversations with people from other cultures? Yeah, all the time. And I hope somebody will write a whole book. Some cultures revel in silence. In a British culture, silence is somewhat awkward. What should you talk about? What should you not talk about in a particular culture? There are conventions everywhere.
